Playing Factions

Factions servers organize players into groups that can share bases and claim territory. Competition may involve raids, diplomacy or seasonal objectives, with each server setting its own limits on attacks and land control.

Before you choose a server

  • Learn how claims are gained or lost and whether deaths affect your territory.
  • Check raid windows, offline protection and which explosives or tactics are allowed.
  • Compare team sizes, alliance rules and season reset schedules.

How to join

Open a server page to check its supported editions, versions and entry requirements. Use the address shown for your edition.

Java Edition

  1. Copy the Java IP from the server page.
  2. In Minecraft, open Multiplayer, then Add Server.
  3. Paste it into Server Address, save and join.

Bedrock Edition

  1. Copy the Bedrock IP and note the separate port.
  2. On mobile or Windows, open Play, then Servers and Add Server.
  3. Enter the IP in Server Address and the listed port in Port, then save and join.

Console editions generally do not offer the same Add Server option. Crossplay is available only when the listing supports both editions. Follow any whitelist or modpack instructions on the server page.

Common questions

Can other factions raid my base while I am offline?

Possibly, depending on the server. Some allow attacks at any time, while others use raid windows, shields or offline protection. Read the exact conditions, including when protection starts and ends. A claimed base is not automatically immune to raids, so understand the defense rules before storing valuable items.

Can I start playing Factions without a team?

You can often create a faction alone or look for a group recruiting new members. Team size and alliance limits affect how practical solo play will be. Before joining a faction, ask about shared storage, base access and expectations for raids so you know what membership involves.
